Top 10 Reasons to join Communion Presbyterian...

One of the encouraging things we have found as a "church plant" is this: Lots of people have either been involved in planting, or are very familiar with what it takes to launch a brand new church!

Obviously, it's a HUGE task! To establish a successful church plant requires a ton of cooperation among all involved -- including the Spirit of God. Naturally, a core group of members possessing pioneering personalities and a missionary zeal are going to help in the task.

Most church plants can't "compete" with the "benefits" of long established churches with large staffs, neighborhood name recognition, and full time facilities. But, there is something very exciting about planting a brand new fellowship. In many ways it resembles the beauty (and trials) of the New Testament church -- meeting anywhere there is space, placing a priority on relationships, and having clear goals and reasons for existing.

The following is a list of 10 reason for becoming involved at Communion Presbyterian...

1. Above all, our members want to glorify God and enjoy Him forever!

2. We are committed to presenting Biblical messages that are consistent with the historic, creedal, and Reformed theology of the Christian Church.

3. Our denomination has the right attitude and conviction for planting new churches. You can be assured that the values of the ARPC reflect a clear commitment to promoting a Biblical faith -- no excuses!

4. Our families are committed to intergenerational ministry and view participation in a faithful church as a "life mission" and not simply a Sunday morning option.

5. Our congregation values the "covenantal" nature of our worship services. Therefore, we administer the sacraments of Christ's church each Sunday.

6. Our congregation values the wealth of the Christian traditions. Therefore, our order of worship will always include the public proclamation of the word, public reading of the word, public prayers, weekly affirmations of our creedal faith, and the singing of hymns, Psalms, and spiritual songs comprised of the most beloved songs of the church.

7. Our church has "full time" elders. Men who are not simply "ordained" and "attending!" They actively participate in worship, instruction, counseling, and prayer. These men meet regularly to address the needs, goals, and effectiveness of our ministry.

8. We have been graciously blessed with a wonderful meeting facility. As most church plants start off in schools, we've been blessed to meet in an "spacious and accomodating" school building. This gives us greater availability to utilize campus classrooms for our childcare, Sunday School, and mid-week evening programs. (We think it's a little "80's," but we love it!)

9. We have a great music program. Not many church plants would be as ambitious about this from the beginning, but we have regular opportunities to sing in choir and to assist with singing and musical accompaniment in all our services.

10. And NOT least! We would be very happy for you to join us! Visitors are always warmly welcomed at Communion Presbyterian as we are excited to share with you the enthusiasm we have about establishing this new and unique work -- all to the glory of God.

We could go on and on about our meetings, outreaches, values, and goals -- but these lists only allow 10, ya know! We trust that these "reasons" are inspiring to you and that you will soon join us in this adventure of faith!

God's best to you!
